Partnerships Manager
The Partnerships Manager at Realta Fusion will play a critical role in building, managing, and scaling the company’s external ecosystem across the fusion energy landscape. This individual will serve as a key connector between Realta and stakeholders in academia, national laboratories, industry, advocacy groups, and government entities.
This role requires a strategic thinker who can assess partnership opportunities, strengthen relationships, and drive initiatives that support company growth, visibility, and long-term success. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, externally focused, and comfortable representing Realta in both technical and business environments.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary fusion ecosystem manager for Realta Fusion.
- Maintain and expand stakeholder relationships with ecosystem partners across academia, advocacy, national laboratories, and beyond.
- Conduct market landscape and ecosystem analysis and provide strategic guidance to identify and fill high priority stakeholder gaps.
- Develop and maintain an internal partnership evaluation system to monitor health and effectiveness of high-priority partnerships on an ongoing basis.
- Negotiate and execute partnership agreements, sponsorship opportunities, and speaking engagement.
- Support investor relations activities, including company communications.
- Represent Realta Fusion at industry conferences, trade shows, and working group meetings associated with existing partnerships.
- Support government relations activities at the local, state, federal, and international level.
- Support executive leadership with strategic planning initiatives and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, public policy, engineering, or related field) preferred
- 5+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, strategy, or external relations
- Experience working with or within energy, climate tech, deep tech, or scientific research environments strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships across diverse stakeholder groups (e.g., academia, government, industry)
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with experience conducting market or ecosystem analysis
- Experience negotiating agreements, partnerships, or sponsorships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience supporting executive communications or investor-related materials
- Ability to represent an organization externally at conferences, events, and meetings
- Familiarity with government relations or public policy environments is a plus
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
- Self-starter with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
